ISTE 24 Denver: Ignite Session 1 - ISTE

This was a session of 10 minute presentations. Ideas that stood out to me were: 

  • Barrier free access to learning through use of video, diagram, simple image instruction allows students to thrive by simply taking away the words.

  • Understanding the anatomy of questions students will allow students to connect to their purpose -closed questions help find information we need to connect and open questions help us unpack the learning.

  • Together they began to create the narrative of the senior citizens

  • Creates a sense of belonging

  • Allows for connections to be made in the community

  • Empathy into action

  • Fostering intergenerational relationships - powerful
